Board Harold Milner
Non-Executive Director Harold Milner began his stockbroking career in South Africa in 1968. Shortly after becoming a member of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, Harold joined Frankel Kruger and was appointed Director. In 1986, Harold moved to Australia and accepted a senior institutional position with Macintosh. He then moved to BBY, heading their institutional stockbroking business. Harold joined Shaw Stockbroking in 1995. His many years in the industry have seen him specialise in a number of areas including institutional broking as well as retail and discretionary portfolio management. As an advisor, Harold has a large institutional and high net worth retail client base. Shortly after joining Shaw, Harold was invited to join the Board of Directors. As a Director, Harold provides guidance and advice to the Managing Director and with his particular expertise in client advising he has helped the company conservatively expand by bringing experienced advisors into the Shaw business. With a keen eye for technological trends, Harold was quick to recognise the power of the Internet and founded the egoli website in early 1996. Under Harold’s guidance, the egoli website became one of the more successful early movers in the Australian financial sector and has since cemented its position as a leading provider of stockmarket news. Harold’s foresight has allowed Shaw to build a powerful financial portal, which has proven to be of immense benefit to both our advisors and clients.
