Scott Marshall
Head of Research - Industrial
After graduating from University of NSW, Scott served as a mining engineer for Consolidated Goldfields Australia (now RGC Ltd). This was followed by 16 years at AMP Limited (AMP), where he worked as a research analyst in the resource and industrial sectors. He left AMP as a Senior Portfolio Manager, heading a team that managed equity portfolios with assets in excess of $1 billion.
As head of our research department, Scott ensures the team has one image and one brand. He sets a direction for the group and makes sure the team meets its potential by producing top quality research. Scott is also responsible for products that are not company specific such as Shaw's Model Portfolio and the Research Monitor. These products distill information from our vast library of information to make decision making easier for both our clients and their advisors.
Scott's research responsibilities span a number of sectors. These include building materials, property trusts, diversified financials and consumer staples. The companies he covers include Woolworths, Westfield and ASX. Scott targets his coverage to meet the needs of our advisors and clients. This is balanced with his view on where Shaw should be focusing its efforts.
